Joey Marshall Sterling Heights, MI Obituary – Cause of Death: Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Mourn The Sudden Loss Of Beloved Employee

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we come together to honor the life of Joey Marshall, whose passing has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Born on May 22, 2001, Joey was a young man full of life, purpose, and compassion. He was known for his kindness, his wit, and his incredible ability to bring light into even the darkest moments. Joey carried a joyful spirit that inspired those around him, facing life’s challenges with strength, resilience, and unwavering faith.

Joey was a dedicated student who pursued nursing at Macomb Community College, driven by a desire to care for others and make a difference in people’s lives. That same servant’s heart was evident in everything he did—whether through his studies, his work at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, or his everyday interactions with others. He lived a life centered on service, always putting others before himself.

His faith was a cornerstone of his life. As a member of First Church Sterling Heights, Joey loved the Lord deeply and reflected that love in his actions. He was a faithful friend, a cherished brother, and a devoted son—roles he embraced with humility and genuine love. His life was a testimony of compassion, generosity, and unwavering belief.

Joey leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold his memory close: his sisters Bianca Mori and Tiffany Marie Richert, his brother Benji Marshall, his uncle Aaron Patrick Porter Sr., his uncle Johnathon “John” Wylie, his cousin Aaron Porter Jr., his cousin Justin Hill, his brother-in-law Eric Vandewater, and many other relatives and loved ones. Each of them carries cherished memories of Joey’s laughter, his warmth, and his boundless love.

Though we grieve deeply, we also hold on to the promises of faith that Joey himself believed in so strongly. As written in Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” And in Revelation 21:4, we are reminded of the hope to come—that God will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more pain or sorrow.

To Joey’s family and loved ones, we extend our most heartfelt condolences. May you find peace in God’s presence, strength in one another, and comfort in the beautiful memories Joey leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Joey. Your light will never fade, and your memory will live on forever in our hearts.
